Searching for Properties
You can search for properties using either the property name or an internal Property ID (also called an entity number or third-party ID).
This is useful for teams that track properties by an internal reference number rather than a name. For example, typing 1001 into the universal search bar will surface a property with that ID — such as "Alison Gardens (1001)" — even if you don't remember its name.
Searching by Property ID in Universal Search
- Click the universal search bar at the top of the app.
- Type the property's name or Property ID (entity number).
- Matching properties will appear in the results. If a property was matched by its ID, the ID will be shown in parentheses next to the property name (e.g. Alison Gardens (1001)) so you can confirm you've found the right one.
Properties without a Property ID set are unaffected — they continue to appear in search results based on name only.
Property ID on the Property Profile
If a property has a Property ID configured, it will also appear in parentheses after the property name on its profile page (e.g. The Castle Apartments (123456)).
Troubleshooting
Can I delete a property?
Properties cannot be deleted through the Pivott interface. To remove a property, please contact us at help@pivott.io or reach out to your Pivott account manager.
I searched by Property ID but the property didn't appear.
Make sure the property has a Property ID (entity number / third-party ID) configured in Pivott. If the field is blank, the property will only be found by name. Contact your Pivott administrator if you need a Property ID added.
